DINNER WITH A HERO
On September 12, 2008 Lost and Found Inc's Operation Restoration was honored to host a dinner celebrating the patriotism and heroism of
Congressional Medal of Honor recipient
George T. Sakato


Lost and Found Inc. was the first entity in Denver to honor a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient ahead of the Medal of Honor Society’s annual national convention, held in Denver the week of September 15, 2008.
On September
12th, veterans, active
duty military, recently returned troops and their families joined with
generous sponsors and other donors to listen to and honor George Sakato,
a Denverite and Medal of Honor recipient from World War II.
The
Mile High Young Marines presented and retired the Colors and served as
volunteers extraordinaire. 1430 KEZW’s Rick Crandall was the
Master of Ceremonies. Surprise
Boxes provided a fun, interactive take on the usual silent auction approach.
The Dinner with a Hero was the first of two Lost and Found Inc. events that
September weekend that raised the level
of patriotism and support for our mental health outreach to military/veterans
and their families called Operation Restoration.

Lost
and Found is honored to recognize and celebrate the sacrifices, patriotism
and service of all of our Armed Forces service-men and women. We sincerely
thank them all for their service to our county.
