DINNER WITH A HERO

On September 12, 2008 Lost and Found Inc's Operation Restoration was honored to host a dinner celebrating the patriotism and heroism of

Congressional Medal of Honor recipient
George T. Sakato

Lost and Found Inc. was the first entity in Denver to honor a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient ahead of the Medal of Honor Society’s annual national convention, held in Denver the week of September 15, 2008.

On September 12th, veterans, active duty military, recently returned troops and their families joined with generous sponsors and other donors to listen to and honor George Sakato, a Denverite and Medal of Honor recipient from World War II. The Mile High Young Marines presented and retired the Colors and served as volunteers extraordinaire.  1430 KEZW’s Rick Crandall was the Master of Ceremonies.  Surprise Boxes provided a fun, interactive take on the usual silent auction approach. The Dinner with a Hero was the first of two Lost and Found Inc. events that September weekend that raised the level of patriotism and support for our mental health outreach to military/veterans and their families called Operation Restoration.

Lost and Found is honored to recognize and celebrate the sacrifices, patriotism and service of all of our Armed Forces service-men and women. We sincerely thank them all for their service to our county.

Our efforts to establish services and outreach to our military personnel and their families through OPERATION RESTORATION is made possible through events like this. Our generous sponsors make these events and our efforts to serve our military possible. Please support their businesses.
